What are the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course prerequisites?
You must be a certified diver, at least 12 years old, and fit for diving to be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. Any certified entry-level diver who is at least 12 years old may enroll in the PADI eLearning Advanced Open Water Diver program.
How does it work?
PADI eLearning Advanced Open Water Diver adds the ease and convenience of completing your knowledge development in a flexible interactive environment from your computer or mobile device. The mobile version of this product is available for apple and android devices and includes Knowledge Reviews, Quizzes and Exams (as applicable). Knowledge Reviews and short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
What are the technical requirements?
This product is designed to be used on devices running iOS10 or newer, and the two most recent versions of Android. The product may be downloaded in sections for convenience however if the entire product is stored on the device, it could require up to 1.2GB of storage space. The computer version of the product is compatible with following web browsers: Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
What else is required to complete the course?
Prior to certification as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, you must successfully complete at least five Adventure Dives, two of which are mandatory; Deep Diver and Underwater Navigation. The other three Adventure Dives you must complete can be chosen from a wide range of options. Contact your PADI Dive Center or Resort to discuss your options and schedule these sessions.
How long do you have to complete the eLearning material?
The eLearning material will be available for one year from the time of product registration. Though you must finish the eLearning knowledge development within that time frame, you will have perpetual access to your eLearning product.
What is the minimum amount of time it will take to complete this eLearning program?
The PADI eLearning Advanced Open Water Diver knowledge development takes approximately 8 hours to complete.
